St Johns church in Stanmore

Two lights were badly vandalised. The centre light depicts St George slaying the dragon and the right hand light from a three light window which is located behind the organ at the east end of the church. The window had been vandalised quite badly causing broken glass with missing fragments and severe damage to the lead also. Both lights required new painted inserts to match the original broken sections. We used copper foil to repair any single cracked pieces. Both windows were fully re-leaded and re-weatherproofed before being installed back in the church.
